About Carol

Born in Britain and raised in the U.K. and Hong Kong, Carol Moreira is an award-winning journalist who has worked around the world. A wanderer by training and inclination, she is currently based in beautiful Nova Scotia where she relishes the great outdoors. Carol’s new novel for younger teens, Riptides, was published by Moose House Publications in November 2021.

Carol is the author of two previous young-adult novels:

• Charged (James Lorimer 2008)

• Membrane (Fierce Ink Press 2013 – to be re-published by Moose House Publications in 2022)

Carol is also a contributor to the immigration anthology Coming Here, Being Here (Guernica Editions 2016). She is a partner in the innovation news site, entrevestor.com, and is excited to be co-launching an oceans-themed publication.
